Overview

Welcome to Scattered Acres Outfitting LLC - the premier pheasant hunting outfitter in Kansas! We are a family-owned business with a true passion for the outdoors. Located in North Central Kansas, our newly built lodge is the central hub of all hunting activities. The lodge is surrounded by native grass, crops and timber, offering ideal habit for your hunt. We specialize in native hunts and controlled shooting areas (CSA) for pheasant and quail. Upon arrival, you can warm up the gun and your shooting skills with some sporting clays. After the hunt, enjoy time in the lodge playing pool or keeping warm by the campfire.

Hunting

We work hard to provide the best habitat for your hunts. Our Kansas Pheasant hunts and Quail hunts are provided with guide and dog service. You are also welcome to use your own dogs. Kennels are on-site with automatic water and comfortable enclosed houses. Or park your truck in our large heated shop. Two shooting decks with a sporting clay thrower are available for pre-hunt practice. We will clean and bag your birds in the enclosed game cleaning room.

CSA Pheasant Hunting Rates - $475/hunter

A Controlled Shooting Area (CSA) allows you to hunt roosters and hens. Our CSA's replicate a wild bird hunt with native grasses, timber, and crops. Many hunters give us positive comments on how our CSA's are quite similar to a native bird hunt. But the added bonus is an opportunity for lots of bird and dog action in the field! The CSA season is September 1 - March 31 and online permits are $27.50. Regular hunting licenses are not needed.

Lodging

Scattered Acres Outfitting LLC's Kansas hunting lodges were built in 2011 and 2012 and are centrally located to all of our hunting activities. The large upper deck offers views of up to eight miles with plenty of opportunity for viewing wildlife and the landscape; the sunsets are unbelievable. The lodges are beautiful and offer rustic living with modern amenities. Large living and dining areas will give your group plenty of space. Attached to the lodges is a large finished and heated shop/garage for shooting basketball, watching TV, playing cards, or visiting at the bar. Our hunters and guests really enjoy this area. Both lodges can be reserved for special events such as reunions, retreats, wedding parties and weddings.

About Us

Robert and I grew up together in the community where Scattered Acres Outfitting LLC is located. Our families still live in the area. The lodge is one half mile from the farm Sheila grew up on. We were both taught how to hunt and trap by our fathers, so we enjoyed and have great memories of gathering with friends and family to hunt deer, turkey and pheasants. It was so exciting when someone would see a deer and, luckily, take it. Now we have that opportunity with our children. We want people to enjoy the outdoors and wildlife. Few things give as much satisfaction and frustration as a hunt, but fond memories will overtake it! We are happy to share our lodge and land with you. Thanks for taking the time to visit us, we hope to see you soon!

Good Hunting!
