Wild Pheasant Hunts
The South Dakota wild pheasant hunting season starts the 3rd week in October and ends around January the following year. The following directory is only wild pheasant hunts and no preserve pheasant hunting. If there are very few wild bird pheasant listings, that's because we wanted to include wild only and true wild only hunts. If there is a listing that is incorrect and is not "only" wild pheasant hunting, please let us know. These are true wild pheasant hunts and not meant to limit out every day. These types of hunts you will work hard from the start of the day to the end of the day for your pheasants. If you want to limit out each day, a wild/preserve mix pheasant operation will be what you are looking for.
We provide the habitat and the lodging, you provide the hunting skills , dogs, guns and strategy. From day 1, UGUIDE was founded on the wild bird and self-guided philosophy. Our hunts include maps, landowner tours of the property and lodge check-in and after that, you are left to hunt as fits your groups hunting style and pace. Many of our guests say, "We felt like we owned the place while we were there". That is all part of the UGUIDE experience. Please find a host of information all our properties and availability on the UGUIDE website.
