Pheasant Hunting - Hanston, Kansas

Gunsmoke Hunting is located 35 miles northeast of Old Dodge City! You will find our hunting area very challenging and enjoyable. It includes over two-thousand acres of wildlife plots, picturesque wooded creeks, and grain stubble with native and stocked birds. We are a controlled shooting area licensed by the state of Kansas. This allows an extended hunting season, September 1st to March 31st.

Our hunts are conducted on thousands of acres of prime upland habitat. The areas hunted provide a diverse mix, from scenic creek bottoms and cut corn fields in the river valley, to rolling CRP grasses up to your knee in the uplands. In most areas we have planted additional food and cover plots to attract and hold exceptional numbers of birds throughout the year. Hunting groups are limited to no more than eight hunter. If more than eight hunters book a hunt, they will be split into two groups. This ensures that everyone gets lots of shooting and does so as safely as possible.
