Crooked Foot features two towers, one with 10 blinds and the larger tower accommodating an amazing 20 blinds. Deer Creek offers the King of Game Birds in a natural setting of Midwestern farm country. Pheasants range in size from approx. 1.5 to 2 lbs. The males have a vibrant plumage, while the females have the camouflage necessary for their survival during breeding season. Pheasants are considered the barroom brawler of the upland bird species and are a very crafty and cagey bird. Deer Creek also offers Chukar, a small hen sized bird. Chukars have shorter wings and attain top speed in a short period of time and have a tendency to fly longer distances offering fast and quick shooting.

Fasan Jäger , German for Pheasant Hunter, is a friendly and inviting upland preserve located in the Saginaw Bay region, just south of Midland and just west of Freeland. In 2012, after a couple of years of raising pheasants and Chukars, Gary Shaffner decided to open a full-fledged upland hunting preserve within 80 acres of privately owned land with the help of his dad Curt. Without his help this would not have been possible. The result, is a comfortable, fun, and safe atmosphere where friends and family can build wonderful hunting memories together.

Muzzy Pheasant Farm provides Ground and European Tower Hunts for your enjoyment. The Ground Hunts are spread over our 80 acre preserve with guide dogs available. Our European Tower Hunt is centrally located on the property and has 10 stations accommodating 20 hunters. We provide trained Labrador Retrievers stationed around the hunt for downed birds at no extra charge to the hunters. You may use your own dogs or hire our dogs for the walk up hunt afterward.
