We have pheasants, chukars and a limited number of quail available. The season is open year round. No license or stamp is required on the preserve. Dogs and guides are available for $25.00 per hour.

Minnesota has long been recognized as one of the leading states in ruffed grouse and woodcock populations. It is home for our ruffed grouse and woodcock camp, the foundation for all our bird hunts. We hunt 35-40 days each fall from September through October. Our hunting coverts in central and northern Minnesota are made up of aspen cuts, swamp edges and a pine mix of habitat. We do not guarantee easy shooting. Quite the opposite, in fact! The covers are thick and shooting opportunities fleeting. You will be challenged. Steve keeps 6-8 setters on the truck each day, hunting a brace of setters that sweep the cover with speed and grace. The finesse and manners of these setters provide our hunters high quality shooting. They’re staunch to point, steady on game and hunt for the gun, they will mesmerize you.

Located on our premises is Fischer's Hunt Club. We offer quality pheasant hunting on our 360 acre licensed preserve. We are open to the public. We are known for beautiful birds and great realistic cover. Club house available for corporate hunts, parties, etc. We can tailor your hunt to fit your needs, just ask! There are no membership fees, guest fees, or gun fees. You are charged on a per bird released. If you shoot additional birds you must pay for them. Birds released are 50/50 hens/roosters. There are two optional charges - bird cleaning is $3.50 per bird; the dog and guide is $2.50 per bird extra. If you elect to use your own dog, we will take you to the hunting area, explain the area, then let you hunt on your own.

Horse Barn & Hunt Club is located 20 miles north of Iowa Great Lakes, this 1994 established public and member Pheasant hunting preserve offers on site lodging, a clubhouse, and even meals, along with clay shooting. Sand Pine Pheasants is a family owned and operated hunting resort, dedicated to providing the best pheasant, chukar and quail hunting around.
