Welcome to Gateway Canyon Preserve. We are a Central Oregon upland bird hunting preserve located on Vibbert Ranch just 11 miles North of Madras, Oregon. With 1,268 acres of prime upland habitat we are centrally located, just a little more than an hour from Bend and only 127 miles from Portland, one day trips are possible from almost anywhere in the valley, or come for an overnight stay in our lodge here on the preserve or motel in Madras just 20 minutes away. Hunt Club offers pheasant hunting. Under our Special Hunt program we offer to the hunter special, exclusive pheasant hunts as well as exclusive pond usage for the season. For the hunter who hunts all three we offer an Annual Membership. You will be hunting on our private club centered between Upper Klamath Lake and the Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge, surrounded by the Klamath River and straight across the river from the Miller Island State Game Refuge. Settled in the spectacular marsh complex of the Klamath Basin, the club property is used by ducks, geese, and pheasants. Our property consists of over 850 acres containing ponds, green marshes, and pastures. Add grain and alfalfa fields and miles of canals, and you have an excellent hunting environment.

The Oregon Preserve Hunting Season runs from August 1 through March 31. Noble Ridge will be opening August 1 for 2015 with hen and chukar hunts. Rooster hunts start mid Sept. Choose from guided with our dogs or non guided hunts with your own dogs. We welcome anywhere from one to six hunters in a party. Half day hunts are for 5 - 14 birds and full day hunts are for 15+ bird hunts except on weekends where half days are 10 birds and full days 20 birds. Hours depend on the month hunting. September half day morning hunts start earlier than other months. You will have the hunting area to yourself. Youth 16 & under hunt free with paid adult. Must have hunters safety course certificate. Women hunt free with a paying partner.
